Following a request from a local landowner, this morning we headed out towards Aston to install a new stile near Brockhurst Farm. The old stile was barely recognisable, no more than just a couple of bits of rotten wood in the corner of a field, with the new stile in place the field fencing can be completed and the field made secure for livestock.
Once again, the stile location was quite a distance from where we could park. Thankfully, we were offered the use of a 4×4 to transport the stile itself and our tools—many thanks for the support!
After the trials and tribulations of battling tree roots two weeks ago, today’s hole digging went remarkably smoothly—just a few stones to contend with this time.
This path leads back to Aston Hall and we identified another five stiles along the route that will need our loving care in the coming weeks.
