At this time of year, it’s essential we stay on top of the countryside’s prodigious growth to keep the footpaths clear and walkable.
Today, a team of six set out to Waterloo to tackle an overgrown section of path. Starting at Waterloo Bridge, we worked our way alongside the long-abandoned canal, clearing the route in the direction of (but not as far as) Poolhead.
After a energetic morning, we treated ourselves to well-earned coffee and cake at Whixall Marina Café.
