Volunteers from P3 Group were out testing an accessible walk with the help of the local scouts.

Starting at the Scout Hut in the Wem walkers went onto Jubilee Square then walked past the Millenium Green to the recreational ground.

Following instructions and a map the scouts then headed towards Kynaston Drive before stopping for a quick rest at the duck pond.

One of the tests was to see how easy the walk would be for people in wheelchairs and pushchars so everyone kept an eye out for safe places to cross the road with ramps.

Heading back to Pymms road we then walked around Trentham Road to make sure that we get our steps in and then back towards the Scouts Hub.

The walk took around 1 hour and 15 mins and covered around 4k.

Big thanks to all of the scouts that helped navigate the walk so that the P3 group can create an accessible walk for residents.

Look out for the published walk on our website once the route has been finalised.
