Now that we have produced and published some walks we have to make sure they are actually fit for purpose – and ongoing and increasingly demanding task as we produce more Wem Walks!
This week the group went out to do some maintenance on Wem Walk 6 – (Wem – Soulton Wood – Wixhill – Hundred Steps – Wem). This walk is particularly prone to nettle, briar and fireweed growth. We hoped to clear one of the worst sections, between Soulton Wood and Wixhill via the A49 crossing, to ease our task in the coming Spring/Summer.
Take a look at our WemP3 high viz vests – not only do they warn people that work is in progress they also help us find each other in the wilds of rural Shropshire!
Have a look at how we got on.
